Tip #1: Use Draping
Make sure to use and enhance the existing architecture of the barn where the wedding will take place. To create a balance between rustic and elegant, Lauren suggests adorning your venue with swaths of gauzy drape and other luxurious fabrics.
Tip #2: Elevate Lighting
Find a delicate juxtaposition of lighting that elevates the experience of your wedding, but isn't too far of a departure from what you may see in the space. This is a sure way to achieve that rustic elegance.
Tip #3: Create a Flow
Most barns are longer than they are wide. Carefully consider guest flow, back of house space, and entertainment space while still making the room feel inviting and welcoming. Using long rectangular tables is a great way to mimic the shape of the space and also accomodate generous traffic flow.
