It’s springtime, and you know what that means? Yes, April showers and May flowers, but it also means that Keeneland’s Spring Meet has come and gone. Being based in Kentucky, it’s always one of our favorite times of the year and inspired us to recap one of our favorite weddings we’ve done. Scroll on to see how Brooke and Drew tied the knot back in 2015!

The beautiful couple was joined by friends and family on a crisp fall day at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky. For any Bluegrass State bride, you know that this is the home of world-class racing, thousands of acres of iconic rolling hills, historic character, and its photogenic-from-every-angle charm makes it a dream venue to celebrate your big day.

For the bride, a timeless white bouquet complemented her lace mermaid-style gown, and the groom’s and groomsmen’s boutonnieres were kept classic as well. You can’t go wrong with white roses paired with black tuxedos. Pro tip: Storing the boutonnieres in a shadow box makes for a great photo op!

As for the invitations? Monogram seal wax stamps gave Brooke and Drew’s invitations and save-the-dates a custom element that made this snail mail one that guests were happy to hang on the fridge and store away in a keepsake box after the big day.

For the event space itself, our team worked countless hours on arranging bold florals, hanging stunning crystal chandeliers, and perfectly placing candelabras to give the space a dramatic, yet warm and inviting feel. Who wouldn’t want to spend their wedding reception here?

When it came time to choose table numbers, centerpieces, and menu cards, we opted for an effortlessly beautiful cream cardstock and white place settings, which left all of the attention to the show-stopping floral runner. That's right, we said floral runner!

And we couldn’t forget about the kiddos! This “Brooke & Drew Get Married” coloring book, designed by our talented Bride, was a total hit with the little ones running around.

Cutting the cake is one of the best parts of the night. At Brooke and Drew’s reception, guests had a couple options. A nod to his alma mater was in order for the groom’s cake (Hook ‘em horns!), and a stunning four-tiered cake topped with beautifully crafted fondant roses made their wedding cake one for the books.

Brooke, Drew, and their friends and family ended the evening by dancing the night away and munching on sweet treats from McGee’s (the BEST!!). Those smiles say it all!

Cheers to this beautiful couple, and a huge congratulations on welcoming their baby girl, Sloane into the world last month! It was such a pleasure to be a part of your special day.
